On June 17, 2009, Cartoon Network made yet another attempt to kiss up to Nickelodeon and Disney Channel audiences by launching a block of LIVE-ACTION REALITY TV SHOWS.

In a time where nearly every cable channel on the dial has started putting on shows which have nothing to do with their name or their original format, the fact that Cartoon Network has joined the ranks of these ratings whores saddens and disgusts me. CN Real is quite possibly the stupidest idea they've ever had since their insufferable live-action original movie Re-Animated and its equally insufferable but thankfully short-lived spinoff Out of Jimmy's Head.

I make this stamp in protest of the idiotic executive-driven decision to produce and broadcast live-action programming on a channel originally devoted to ANIMATED CARTOONS for the sole purpose of increasing its viewership.

Absolute hit on this.

I was looking for something to watch, and when I got hopeful around CN, it was showing a bunch of real kids running around doing something or other. I was abhorred by the fact that it wasn't a commercial. Very disappointed they can't even stick to their station name. :/

I was so disappointed when I saw real people on there :( It's called CARTOON Network for a reason.

I wrote a rant about this just recently and all of there new shitty reality shows are nothing but rip offs of kids discovery's shows.

Agreed. It seems like so many channels are going against their names and what they started out as in an effort to seem 'cool'. I have this feeling that cartoons on cartoon network might end up like music on MTV.
